Meridian Architectural Trust was founded on the belief that Meridian’s built environment is an intrinsic part of our beloved community’s identity.

Meridian Architectural Trust
2023 Membership Levels & Benefits

Meridian, Mississippi, is loved by many, but the future of its built environment is a concern for all.

Help shape the way our city  considers its past and its future by becoming  an inaugural member of Meridian Architectural Trust (MAT).

MAT members, of all levels, believe in working to preserve Meridian’s qualified historic buildings.  We are educating and engaging the whole community through tools like our Lunch & Learn series  and by developing a revolving fund that will save and protect vacant, endangered, and blighted historic properties and brought up to the Secretary of the Interior’s standards for historic preservation.

We believe this will help create a greater sense of place and foster an economy surrounding historic preservation, while lifting the spirits of our citizens and creating a city tourists will want to visit again and again.  And while saving our historic buildings, we’ll save our storied past, dream big dreams for our future, and work toward realizing them.

We believe that saving Meridian's stories, one building at a time is possible.
